The Alternative Dispute Resolution Board of School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Bangalore, successfully hosted the 5th edition of The Christ Mediation-Arbitration Competition (CMAC), 2025, in partnership with legal partners JSA, Nishith Desai Associates, Luthra and Luthra Law Offices India, IndusLaw, Poovayya & Co. , ALMT Legal, Dentons Link Legal , CrestLaw Partners, Keystone Partners, Advocates & Solicitors, along with mediation partner Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution, mentoring partner FCDR - Foundation for Comprehensive Dispute Resolution, media partner SCC Times and MediateGuru and our knowledge Partner, SCC Online and Eastern Book Company.
The 5th CMAC, 2025 witnessed an overwhelming response from 38 esteemed universities across the country, eager to compete in the event held from February 13th to 15th, 2025.
Spanning three days, the competition unfolded in four stages—kicking off with the Inaugural Ceremony and Preliminary Rounds on Day 1, followed by the Quarter-Finals and Semi-Finals on Day 2, and culminating with the Finals and Valedictory Ceremony on Day 3.
On 14th February 2025, a workshop on the ‘Art of Dispute Resolution’ was conducted by esteemed speakers Ms. Maneesha Kongovi,
Ms. Rukmani Menon, Mr. R. Vijaya Krishnan and Ms. Uma Ramnathan.
The finals were judged by a distinguished and eminent panel of judges featuring,
Hon’ble Retd. Justice Dinesh Maheshwari of the Hon’ble Supreme Court, Hon’ble Retd. Justice Krishna Murari of the Hon’ble Supreme Court, Hon’ble Justice Pradeep Singh Yerur of the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka, Hon’ble Justice Anant Ramanath Hegde of the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka, Sr. Adv. Sajan Poovayya of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, Sr. Adv. Dhyan Chinnappa of the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka, Mr. Prasanth VG, Partner at JSA, Ms. Aishwarya Ananthkumar, Partner at Luthra and Luthra Law Offices India, and Mr. Nikit Bala, Partner at ALMT Legal.
